This morning at church I was asked by a couple of people if they could make a donation to support my ride---not something I had planned to do.  But if anyone wishes to make a donation to recognize my efforts to get to Florida on just 2 un-motorized wheels, send it to Addison County Young Life, PO Box 302, Bristol, VT 05443.

Here's the cake Lynn made for the post-60 mile ride party---delicious as well as beautiful.

Saturday, 28th, some 24 riders from all over Addison County turned up in New Haven.  Fantastic spring day, temp hit 70.  Some rode 38 miles, others 63+ miles.  Thanks again Al for organizing this great ride.

I have been spinning indoors most of the winter, then went outdoors Sat, 7 March on a 37 miler orchestrated by Al Karnatz.  4 of us.  Since then another 40 miler and a couple of shorter rides including one in about 2 hours from now.  This Saturday, the 28th, about 14 riders doing a 60 miler here in the Champlain Valley followed by a potluck supper at the McGuire's Homeport.  Come join us!

Getting the hang of this blogging thing.

Just sent an email to many friends and family with the blog website.  Share it to friends.  Love to hear from you.

My plan is to do 60 miles per day AFTER my butt is toughened up.  Al Karnatz, my good spirited trainer, says it will take 5 days.  That would be Virginia Beach I think.

Yes I am going by myself.  NONE of you wanted to take a month off of work to do it.  Oh well.  I expect, rather I hope to join up with other trekkers headed south.

To quote Garrison Keiler, be well, do good work, AND keep in touch (by blogging).
